Decide what needs correcting
If the amount or category is wrong but the purchase happened, edit the entry. If you accidentally entered the same purchase twice, identify which copy should remain before voiding the duplicate.
A refund is different from an entry that never should have counted. If the original purchase happened and money returned later, keep enough information to explain both events and use the account and dates that match them.
Void the selected entry
- Find the transaction and check its date, account and amount.
- Open its transaction actions and choose Void Transaction.
- Review the confirmation, particularly when several records are selected.
- Check the entry’s status and review the affected account and report.
A voided entry can still appear in the transaction list. Check its status: seeing it in the list does not mean it still counts toward the active total.
Be careful with linked records
Transfers and split transactions contain related records. Use the actions the app offers for the whole transaction, and check all affected parts afterwards.
If the total still looks wrong, check the account and date filters, then look for another incorrect entry. Adding an extra transaction just to adjust the total can make the mistake harder to find.
