Set and check the passcode
- Open Settings → Security Settings.
- If it is locked, review the upgrade information shown by the app.
- Turn on passcode protection, then enter and confirm a 4–8 digit passcode when prompted.
- Leave and reopen the app as appropriate to check that protection is active.
Choose a code you can remember and keep your phone’s own screen lock enabled. Avoid storing the code in a visible note alongside the device.
Know what the passcode protects
The app passcode controls access to the app. Your Google account controls identity for Cloud Sync, and a signed-in browser has its own session. Protect each place where you access your records.
Do not assume that a CSV export or a copied backup is protected merely because the app asks for a passcode. Keep those files in a location you control.
If you cannot get in
Use any recovery instructions offered by the app. If you need support, describe the screen and app version without sending your passcode or Google password.
Do not clear app storage or uninstall as a first troubleshooting step. First establish which backups or cloud records you can recover, since local records may otherwise be lost.
