Enter one real purchase
- Tap the add button and choose an expense.
- Select the account you paid from. If you used your card, choose that card account.
- Enter the amount and a payee or description you will recognize later.
- Choose a category and check the transaction date.
- Add a note if it will help you remember what the purchase covered, then save.
Check the saved entry
Find the transaction in Recent Transactions or the transaction list. Check the amount, account and date. Your cash account should now reflect S$12.50 less than before this entry, assuming no other records changed.
If the entry is missing, check the selected account and date filters. If it is wrong, open it and edit the original record. Adding a second version leaves both in your history.
Choose the right type next time
Use income for money you receive, such as salary. Use a transfer when you move money between your own accounts. A transfer to savings is not a new income payment, and a cash withdrawal is not the purchase you will later make with that cash.
Once one entry looks right, add the rest of the day’s transactions. A short, regular habit is easier to check than a large backlog.
